Welcome to Study Hall!

I'm in the process of studying for my CWNA wireless certification.  I received a couple of vendor certificates back in 2000 and 2001 when wireless standards and connectivity where in their infancy.  I have decided to go with the CWNA-109 exam, a vendor neutral certification to start with.  I have been working with Cisco wireless in a corporate environment since 2007.

Study Materials:

  • CWNA Certified Wireless Network Administrator Study and Reference Guide - 1st Edition CWNA-109 (Certitrk)
  • CWNA Certified Wireless Network Administrator Study Guide - Sixth Edition CWNA-108 (Sybex)
  • I scoured the internet and found a plethora of PDF files covering current vendor standards, there's plenty of older 802.11a/b/g/n/ac documentation to be found in detail on any topic
  • I registered and downloaded a copy of the latest IEEE 802.11ax standard

Study Tools:

I use the open-source program, Cherrytree, a hierarchical note taking application I couldn't live without.
